lingerie for plus-size women
Initial funding
Yesterday, the first Microcredit from Qredits Aruba was granted to entrepreneur Ydimar Zerraga. With this investment, she can realize her growth ambitions for her business ‘You and I Lingerie'. Qredits has been active in Aruba since early April: starting and existing entrepreneurs can borrow up to AWG 50,000 to start or grow their business.
A symbolic cheque was handed over to Ydimar yesterday at the Qredits office in MFA Noord. Ydimar is a local entrepreneur hailing from Venezuela and has been running her own clothing shop for a year. Here, she sells lingerie for plus-size women. With the microcredit, she wants to achieve more growth. She will use the amount for extra promotion and inventory.

The 2017/2018 objectives are to provide approximately 100 loans of an average of AWG 30,000, to guide over 200 aspiring entrepreneurs in setting up their own business, and to offer 250 students the entrepreneurship education program Be Your Own Boss.
The Qredits e-learning Writing a Business Plan has been translated into English, Spanish, and Papiamento and is offered to aspiring entrepreneurs. Vouchers for this are available at the Qredits office and the Chamber of Commerce. More than 30 vouchers have already been given away.
