Agriloan Launch
More opportunities for the agricultural entrepreneur
Qredits Aruba launched the Agriloan for (future) commercial farmers.
Qredits Aruba, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Communication, and Sustainable Development, with support from the Ministry of Transport, Integrity, Nature, and Elderly Affairs, announced the start of the "Agrifund" project and launched the new financial product, Agriloan. The Agriloan was introduced to support (future) entrepreneurs who needed access to financing and guidance in the agriculture industry. This provided a boost to the ongoing development of the agriculture sector in Aruba.
At the beginning of 2023, the educational program "AGRI Business Academy" was also launched. Qredits Aruba, together with the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Communication, and Sustainable Development, Mr. Geoffrey Wever, with the support of the Ministry of Transport, Integrity, Nature, and Elderly Affairs, Mr. Ursell Arends, launched the project to provide guidance and to continue strengthening "Entrepreneurship" in the agriculture sector.
This program was successful, with 40 participants who presented their products and/or services in the agriculture sector, and in the end, they received their certificates. The "AGRI Business Academy" added value to every (future) farmer who wished to start and/or expand their own business successfully.
Reduced rate for agriculture
Agriloan is a commercial loan of up to Afl. 200,000 for new or existing entrepreneurs in the agriculture sector in Aruba. The commercial loan is offered at a reduced interest rate of 2% so that farmers can make the necessary investments to start or expand their businesses. The interest reduction was made possible thanks to the collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Communication, and Sustainable Development.
For entrepreneurs who wish to start or expand their business in the agriculture sector in Aruba, this is your opportunity to apply for the "Agriloan."
